In a continuing effort to comply with DFARS 252.225-7014 Alternate1, Preference for Specialty Metals (Berry Amendment), SCI is pleased to confirm all new orders as of 11/1/06 that carry the DFARS note on the PO can be certified as compliant without any cost impact on the product. SCI is continuing to manage inventory and flow down the applicable requirements to our supplier base to maintain this ability to certify to DFARS 252.225-7014 Alternate1, Preference for Specialty Metals (Berry Amendment) where applicable.

For existing product in the field, SCI is capable of performing a review of the product to determine compliance as required. SCI requests you initiate your search by contacting your SCI customer service representative. Please note that many of SCI’s products do not contain any specialty metal as defined by DFARS 252.225-7014 Alternate1. If the product in question does not contain specialty metal SCI can certify the material as compliant for no fee. If the product does contain specialty metal, SCI can research the product to determine whether it is compliant or not for a fee. Please contact your customer relations specialist for a quote.
