Spectrum Control, Inc. is a technology – driven global market leader in a vast array of control products and systems. We currently have opening for a Film Capacitor Design Engineer at our Fairview, PA based Signal and Power Integrity Business. This position is responsible for the design and manufacturing of metallized polymer wound film capacitors. The incumbent will be responsible for developing new products and modifying enhancing existing products to meet customer specifications. Incumbent accomplishes this by communicating with internal and external customers to identify requirements and specifications; coordinating and implementing processes with manufacturing and/or process engineering based on customer needs; maintaining and/or creating supporting documentation using Engineering company information systems. Position qualifications- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in testing and evaluation of film capacitors for voltage effects, temperature ratings, ESR and frequency dependent characteristics
- Ability: to work with detail and accuracy, to analyze and solve problems quickly, to work with automated and semi automated test equipment and computer controlled manufacturing systems.
